- It’s real. It’s really real. Our third-party testing found that Bluebird has accurate levels of a wide range of cannabinoids, making it a high-quality full-spectrum hemp extract.
- The price is excellent.
- Bluebird Botanicals may be the most transparent CBD company out there. They post their third-party test results where you buy your hemp extract, which tells you exactly what you’re getting and what you’re not.
- The internet loves Bluebird. The far majority of reviews that I’ve gathered from all over the internet were positive.
- Their products are natural and don’t contain a bunch of artificial or “natural” sweeteners. They also use environmentally friendly manufacturing and packaging. Stay pure Bluebird, stay pure.
- Bluebird has excellent customer service and a decent return policy.
- The taste of their potent hemp extract is… well… potent. They don’t add any sweeteners and the natural flavor of hemp is “earthy,” which a few people would describe as “nasty.”
- While their return policy is generous, Bluebird does not take returns based on “taste.” While most people say the natural taste is tolerable, I met a couple of people who said that they wouldn’t purchase their 6x strength extracts because of the earthy flavor. So, you better make a better excuse if you can’t handle the taste and want to make a return.
- I’ve run out of bad things to say. Bluebird Botanicals is currently (3/25/2019) my top choice for a CBD company. If you want a natural full-spectrum hemp extract that is strong and reliable, you can’t go wrong with Bluebird Botanicals.
The best CBD products for migrainesLook inside
The following is an in-depth review of this CBD product. I’m the editor of this site, Migrainekey.com, and the author of the book Hemp for Migraine. I order CBD products, send them to a lab for testing, I try them, I search the internet for what others think of the product (the good, the bad, and the ugly), and I share my findings in reviews like this one. Why do I do this? So that my readers can find reliable CBD products and avoid the sea of fake CBD products that are out there. I wrote this review for anyone who is looking for real CBD products and I’ve also included a short section at the end that is specific to migraine sufferers. Click here to read more about why I do what I do.
Our test results
We use an independent third-party lab to test all the CBD products we review. Learn more about how we test and review CBD products.
Bluebird is legit. Our above third-party test results (an independent test paid for by moi) show that Bluebird produces a high-quality hemp extract with multiple cannabinoids. The bottle claims 25+ mg of hemp extract per 0.5 mL dose and our test shows 25.5 mg of CBD per 0.5 mL dose and a total of 28.74 mg of cannabinoids. They’re right on the money.
The entire bottle claims 500+ mg of extract and we found 510 mg of CBD and a total of 575 mg of total cannabinoids.
Their Test Results
Bluebird Botanicals provides a batch number on every product, which you can look up on their website to find the levels of cannabinoids and terpenes in each product. Unfortunately, I didn’t save the batch number before sending it to the lab for testing and I can’t make a side-by-side comparison. However, I checked a batch number for the same time period and the results were similar.
Full-spectrum hemp extracts will typically have small differences in cannabinoid levels in each batch. Hemp companies take large fields of hemp with varying levels of nutrients, so the extract from the hemp will also have slight differences based on the particular crop it came from. For example, a Bluebird batch from Nov of 2018 had 10 percent more CBD than a batch of the same product from the previous month.
Bluebird is one of the most transparent hemp companies. They label their bottle with the cannabinoid levels and a “+” symbol, which suggests that the product contains more cannabinoids and those levels may vary. Bluebird then displays their third-party test results under each product on their website for exact levels of cannabinoids (under the “Test Results” tab).
About the Product
This Bluebird hemp extract is full-spectrum hemp, which means it contains CBD, THC, other cannabinoids, terpenes, and nutrients found within the hemp plant. This combination increases the medicinal benefits with something researchers call the entourage effect. While many hemp products claim “full-spectrum,” testing has found that most companies are lying. Our independent testing found that Bluebird is not lying and contains accurate levels of cannabinoids and other nutrients.
The product can be taken sublingually under the tongue or ingested by swallowing or mixing with a food or drink.
Pro Tip: Take this product sublingually–place under the tongue for 30-90 seconds before you swallow it. You’ll absorb about twice the amount of CBD under your tongue compared to how much you can absorb in your belly. Learn more about sublingual absorption here.
Ingredients: Concentrated full-spectrum hemp extract (1,500+ mg cannabinoids per fluid ounce) and organic virgin hemp seed oil. This is exactly what you want in a hemp extract: hemp extract and healthy fats to increase cannabinoid absorption. That’s it. Artificial sweeteners and many of the “natural sweeteners” may be harmful. Bluebird is a pure and clean product that is grown in the United States using organic methods, according to Bluebird.
Let me get the distasteful part out of the way. The product I reviewed is Bluebird Classic 6x, which means that it is six times more potent than most hemp extracts. Natural hemp extracts have terpenes, which come with an earthy taste. This product is 6x more “earthy” than your standard extract. A potent hemp extract won’t taste good and this is one of the strongest hemp extracts you can buy. It doesn’t come with any B.S. flavorings and that is the point. It’s pure and natural.
I personally don’t mind the taste. The viscosity is that of light oil and the strong earthy taste is gone a few seconds after you take it down. I’m not saying the taste is pleasant, but I also don’t grimace when I take it. I’ve asked a few dozen people, literally, what they think of the taste and most have said, “It’s tolerable.” One person told me that “it tastes straight-up nasty,” so it’s not for everyone. There are health concerns with both artificial and so-called “natural” flavorings. If you are looking for a product that tastes like bubble gum, look elsewhere. If you want a strong, high-quality, and natural hemp extract: this is it.
The Most Honest Hemp Company
In a sea of misleading CBD companies, Bluebird Botanicals is a breath of fresh air. Most CBD companies do not contain the amounts of CBD that they claim and there are many fake CBD products out there. Other less-common cannabinoids (CBN, CBC, etc.) are commonly missing. If you don’t have a third-party test from your hemp company, assume it is a fake product until proven otherwise. You can read more about this giant problem in the CBD industry here.
Even if you find a reliable company, product labeling often misleads people. You’ll find a specific number of milligrams on the front of a bottle (e.g. 25 mg) but most companies won’t tell you what the heck that means. Is the “mg” on the front of the bottle describing the CBD, THC, total cannabinoids, or terpene levels? What are we paying for? Bluebird tells you exactly what is in each bottle of their hemp extract.
The milligrams on the front of a Bluebird bottle represents the total levels of cannabinoids. They use a (+) symbol to let you know that the amount of milligrams on the label is not exact, but the dose will contain at least that many milligrams or more of total cannabinoids. For example, “25+ mg” means that each dose will have at least 25 mg of cannabinoids. If you want more accurate levels of cannabinoids, you can look at their third-party test results.
The third-party test results are listed on the same website page where Bluebird sells their extract, which makes it super easy to find the approximate levels of each cannabinoid and terpene that you are spending your hard earned money on.
Bluebird may be the most transparent hemp company out there. I haven’t seen another hemp company the makes it this easy to find third-party test results of their cannabinoids, terpenes, heavy metals, residual solvents, and toxins. They are leaps and bounds ahead of the industry and I believe that their transparency should be the benchmark for all other companies. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate what they’ve done to give people a quality product and show exactly what’s in that product. Well played, Bluebird, well played.
This is different from my other hemp reviews because I’ve used Bluebird for several years now. I’ve used it for headaches, anxiety, injuries, and even the common cold. Oh, being sick is so much better with Bluebird. As I wrote in my book Hemp for Migraine, my wife used this product to successfully ward off migraines and anxiety. As research for my book, I purchased about 100 bottles of the Classic 6x and gave them to people for free or at cost (about 50% off). People loved it and came back for more. I had friends and friends of friends use it for a variety of injuries, headaches, migraines, anxiety, and more. Some people used a few drops (5 mg) per day, while others used two 25 mg doses per day or more. The stuff works.
By now you might think that this is a paid advertisement for Bluebird. It’s not. I’m just a huge fan of Bluebird. I recommended Bluebird in both my book and multiple online articles with no financial incentives. However, I do use affiliate links that may earn me a small commission on any product that I review. Affiliate links help pay for the free migraine education on this site and do not influence my reviews in any way. I always recommend that you also do your own research on any product that you are willing to put in your body and look at multiple review sites. And I’ll link to some of the other positive and negative Bluebird Botanicals reviews below.
The cannabinoids found in Bluebird’s hemp include CBD, THC, CBDa, CBDV, CBN, CBG, and CBC. The small amounts of other cannabinoids add to the medicinal benefits of CBD and are part of something called the entourage effect. This a premium extract.
Cannabinoids in Bluebird hemp per mL (one dose = 0.5 mL):
- 51.029 mg CBD – This is a large amount of CBD. CBD has a wide range of benefits, without a high. It reduces the side effects of THC. CBD may help with pain, inflammation, insomnia, migraine, fatigue, arthritis, acne, fibromyalgia, spinal injury, headaches, cramps, IBS, nausea, anxiety, ADD, stress, bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD, depression, ALS, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, epilepsy, cancer, hypertension, glaucoma, osteoporosis, diabetes, and asthma.
- 1.827 mg THC – This is a 1-to-28 ratio of THC to CBD. A 0.5 mL dose should not get you high, but it may cause side effects such as tiredness in sensitive people. Many people will feel more energetic from the positive effects of stimulating the natural endocannabinoid system. While it’s not a lot of THC, it is enough to add to the medicinal effects of CBD. THC may help with pain, inflammation, migraine, headaches, arthritis, insomnia, fibromyalgia, spinal injury, cramps, sleep apnea, cancer, glaucoma, hypertension, fatigue, asthma, ALS, osteoporosis, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, MS, epilepsy, Tourette’s, appetite, IBS, nausea, diabetes, anxiety, ADD, stress, bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD, and depression.
- 00.645 mg CBDa – CBDa is the precursor to CBD. When you heat CBDa it transforms into CBD. CBD directly binds to the cannabinoid receptors and has a ton of research behind it, while CBDa does not and does not. However, some hemp companies keep CBDa in their extract because preliminary research has found that CBDa may help with pain, inflammation, arthritis, anxiety, and cancer.
- 00.062 mg CBN – This is a small amount of CBN and I’m not sure how much, if any, it will add to the entourage effect. CBN is a byproduct of THC. Let THC sit around for a bit and it begins to age and transforms into CBN. CBN amplifies THC’s sedative effects and promotes relaxation and better sleep. It may help with inflammation, arthritis, pain, insomnia, fibromyalgia, osteoporosis, MS, epilepsy, and depression. It’s also likely to help with migraines because the above conditions share a common link, which you can read about here.
- 1.572 mg CBG – This is a large amount of CBG. Both THC and CBD start in the hemp plant as CBG. It’s a parent cannabinoid. Although CBG may convert to THC as cannabis grows, it’s not psychoactive. It provides more pain relief than THC. It has a range of potential medical uses for pain, depression, cancer, bacterial infections, hypertension, psoriasis, glaucoma, IBS, appetite, and a wide range of neurological disorders. It has a strong ability to control inflammation and oxidative stress in the brain, which are two major migraine triggers.
- 1.971 mg CBC – This is a hefty amount of CBC. CBC is one of the most potent components of the entourage effect. It increases the anti-inflammatory effect of THC while reducing the intoxication of THC. It’s a promising candidate for treating neurological conditions (Parkinson’s, epilepsy, migraine, etc.) because it protects neurons, as well as helps in brain development. It reduces glutamate, which in excess can trigger brain trauma and migraines. CBC may help with inflammation, arthritis, pain, insomnia, acne, cancer, ALS, osteoporosis, migraine, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s disease, and depression.
Learn more about cannabinoids here (article with research citations coming soon).
According to a recent third-party test, provided by Bluebird Botanicals, Bluebird Classic 6x contains 0.07% of total terpenes. That might not sound like a lot, but researchers believe that small amounts of terpenes may help increase the medicinal benefits of hemp extract. Both terpenes and cannabinoids may share strong medicinal effects and are part of the entourage effect. However, research is limited and I can’t tell you what amounts of terpenes are effective when combined with cannabinoids.
The terpenes in Bluebird emit aromas of cinnamon, hops, earthy, chamomile, and wood. Ok, I could have told you that in the taste section if I had a more refined palate. It just tasted “earthy” to me.
Below are the specific terpene levels in Bluebird, according to their own third-party testing:
- 0.003% a-Pinene
- 0.002% b-Pinene
- 0.014% B-Myrcene
- 0.001% trans-Ocimene
- 0.003% Limonene
- 0.006% cis-Ocimene
- 0.001% Eucalyptol
- 0.005% y-Terpinene
- 0.002% Linalool
- 0.003% Guaiol
- 0.020% b-Caryophyllene
- 0.007% a-Humulene
- 0.005% a-Bisabolol
Bluebird also offers a “Hemp Complete 6x” extract with significantly higher levels of terpenes than the Hemp Classic 6x (above), which may be worth trying. Look more into these terpenes and the entourage effect. I’ll also do a deep dive into the research on the terpenes above, so check back for updates soon.
Customer Service and Returns
Bluebird has a 30-day return policy on purchases up to $110.00. They specifically state that “we do not take returns based on taste.” I’m not surprised, taste is not their strong suit. I can say from experience that they are a very reliable company and will take care of you. I’ve spent a long time speaking with their customer service on a variety of hemp topics and they are great. Bluebird does NOT have a “100 percent satisfaction guarantee” like some of their competitors. However, companies like Charlotte’s Web can offer satisfaction guarantees because they are charging an arm and a leg to do so. Bluebird is a fraction of the price and they will take care of you if there is a legitimate problem with their product. I give Bluebird a thumbs up for excellent customer service at a great price.
Other Website and User Reviews
I scoured the internet to find you the good and bad on Bluebird Botanicals (March 12, 2019). I approach internet reviews with consideration and skepticism. A massive amount of negative or positive reviews can help paint the picture of a product. In the case of Bluebird, I only found a couple of nasty reviews and the majority of internet peoples claim that Bluebird Botanicals is a great company.

4.7 out of 5 by Cannainsider.com
Cannainsider.com gave Bluebird a score of 4.7 out of 5 based on price, CBD content, color, and taste. They claim that the beautiful coloration reflects the quality of the oil. I disagree. The color makes almost no difference. The rest of their review seems acurate.
A Stellar Review by Marijuanabreak.com
Marijuanabreak.com gives Bluebird a top tier rating for industry-leading quality control, honesty, and transparency.
Here are a few of their user reviews:
“I’ve heard some people say that the taste was awful but honestly it is barely even distinguishable. Honestly have no idea how people can say the taste is bad, unless they’ve literally never even tried them before. ”Kelsey
“Love the Complete CBD and how helpful, friendly and down to earth they’re customer service is. I am on disability so the discount definitely helps and I am very thankful to have found them. ”Christina
“Bluebird does not provide adequate information on products, particularly for newbies. Extracts are very weak.”Myna Knight
I don’t know what the heck Myna is talking about. Bluebird provides both stronger products and more reliable info than any other company I have reviewed.

“Be aware I was charged on my MasterCard a extra fee for bluebird & hemplucid for a (out of country fee.) After the price was determined and payed.”D.J. – 1 out of 5 stars
(Before hemp was legal, credit card processors from other countries were used by CBD manufacturers and some banks charged fees. This is no longer a problem in the industry.)
CBDnerds.com Gives Bluebird a Thumbs Up
The editor of CBDnerds.com gave Bluebird Botanicals a thumbs up, but he did say that the taste wasn’t great and that is to be expected from a natural product. The user reviews of CBDnerds.com gave Bluebird a 5 out of 5, with one user commenting: “I have tried every CBD product on most of the Best CBD lists. I have tried higher concentrates as well. Not one of them are anywhere the quality and relief I get from Bluebird. I don’t even bother looking at another company. Its bluebird all the way. Delivery is quick, they are a pleasure to deal with. Perfect. –Adena”
CBDHacker.com Editor’s Choice, Best All-Around CBD Brand
CBDHacker.com gave Bluebird the best all-around CBD brand. It also topped their list for the “Best 15 CBD OIL Drops for 2018.” CBDHacker.com bases their ranking on user experience, customer service, purchasing, shipping, quality, environmental responsibility, and transparency. This was an honest and well-researched review. Their name is a little cringe-worthy, “CBD Hacker”, but their review was spot on.
Reddit and Bluebird Botanicals
Reddit is a fantastic place to find information on a company. If a company has a bad product, Reddit users will be all over it. Reddit users will expose bad customer service or unreliable products. Reddit users will also be there to answer technical questions and let you know if a product is great. The overall vibe from Reddit users is that Bluebird is a good company.
Here are a few Reddit posts:
“I’ve used full spectrum Classic for BB and while it is effective, I’m afraid to take higher doses since I’m very sensitive to THC. I’m thinking about switching to isolate and when I went on BB’s site, I saw that there’s a new THC-free CBD oil.”Posted by u/sonofazombie1
This is a legitimate concern with any full-spectrum hemp extract. THC can cause side effects for those who are extremely sensitive to THC. Bluebird now makes a CBD hemp extract that contains no THC, but keep in mind that you will need higher doses because CBD without THC will not come with the full benefits of the entourage effect.
“I just recently started using CBD oil for anxiety and depression, and it’s been really helpful. I started with Bluebird and recently bought their 6x Classic brand. But I got online and took a look at the lab results and it says the lead levels were 26.5 ppb. Well, the EPA considers anything over 15 ppb an actionable level of lead. I’m stressed out about this. Thoughts?”Posted by u/hadleymonroe
26.5 ppb (parts per billion) is nothing. Most vegetables contain higher levels of lead because it is a natural metal that is found everywhere. I responded on Reddit here or you can read my article on lead here for a deeper dive into the issue. Heavy metals are a problem in the CBD industry, and Bluebird’s testing and transparency should ease your concerns.
“Success! I awoke anxious and in pain. I thought this was going to be another day riddled with fibromyalgia flare ups, depression and anxiety. However, look at me now – I just finished my first ever Reddit CBD review, tidied up the home and even baked cannabutter cookies! My mental state seems to be more lucid, clear and even a bit inspired. I am aware of my pain but not burdened or stifled by it. I really enjoy the way I feel today. Thank you Bluebird.”Posted by u/Cbd3POil
“CBD has been a miracle for me! Just started taking Bluebird Botanicals complete two days ago so I don’t know if it has fully reached it’s potential. But so far it has been a wonderful experience. My anxiety and depression are so much better. I don’t really stutter anymore. Loving this stuff.”Posted by u/y0ung_dillinger
One Reddit user claimed that Bluebird worked well for his chronic depression and anxiety. However, he stopped taking it after it upset his stomach with “5 days of hell.” He later discovered that both hemp seed oil and olive oil give him “gastrointestinal upset.” (Posted by u/Cbdtrees)
This was the only review that I found that claimed an upset stomach from Bluebird. The user claims that hemp seed and olive oil are hard on his/her stomach, but it’s hard to say what happened because chronic depression and anxiety are often accompanied by gastrointestinal problems. The user recommended taking the oil sublingually, which you can read more about here.
CBDoilusers.com Reviewers Give Bluebird an 8.3 Out of 10
CBDoilusers.com bases their rating system on user reviews. Many of their users leave lengthy reviews with both pros and cons.
Here are a couple reviews:
“My son has disabling anxiety and was unable to attend school because he would get overwhelmed and run out. We started giving him this three years ago and he was able to start second grade and he LOVES school. He still has periodic panic attacks, but he is truly thriving because of this product. I have recently been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and I now use Hemp Complete for my pain and stiffness. I find it also reduces my anxiety. CONS: Failed a pre-employment drug test.”Jann Goldberg
“No longer underweight, thyroid improved, less pain from RA, Calming and improved sleep quality.”Pamela Free
“This is a great product with great customer support. CBD oil has helped me so much in so many ways but mainly in the category of anxiety. The Signature blend also helps me with issues from irritable bowel syndrome.”Carol Jamieson
“Very disappointed in less purchase. Product stop working for me. Spoke to their representative who spoke to their representative who promised they would review my email and pictures. That Call back never happened.”Jeffrey
“I have been using B.B. since April, 2018. I have been very satisfied with their products until my last purchase. The oil is putrid. I contacted the company and was told that was normal. I will not be buying from them again.”Elizabeth
“The Signature tastes/smells awful, like Diesel fuel, but it’s helpful anyway. My favorite is the Complete. It helped very much with my arthritis.”Janet Johnson
“My blood pressure has returned to what it was in my 20s and 30s! I highly recommend their products!”Carol L. Jamieson
“It gives me so much energy from the terpenes that I can’t take a dose past 2pm or I won’t sleep that night. It helps my anxiety (I’m almost completely off of Zoloft and Ativan in just 5 weeks – tapers usually take a LOT longer than that and have bad side effects, which I’ve had none of!) and dulls my pain.”Sarah Mead
“This product has been a life savor. Never thought I’d come out the darkness of panic. Anxiety. Fear.Katherine
My experience with complete by blue bird has been wonderful. I am now able to drive. Feel beautiful confident and most importantly being a mom to my four year old son full of life. I have finally been able to do the things I haven’t been able to do in so long. ’m taking baby steps but I think it’s the best thing that has ever happened to me and I couldn’t be more thankful. Sincerely.”
“I had a huge problem with Bluebird Complete – it burns my throat. A LOT! A user in that group said “it is the myrcene. Myrcene is a pretty strong terpene. Did you ever eat a mango and notice that same strange feeling? Mangos are also high in myrcene.”Sandra Curtis – 1 star out of 5 review
AHA! I have a mega-allergy to mangos – get blisters on my lips, even my hands from just toughing mangos. So this product is not one for me!”
This is good to know for people with rare allergies to mangos. However, I am also allergic to mangos and I don’t have a reaction to myrcene. Urushiol is what is most likely to give an allergic reaction to mangos, which is also found in poison oak. So, I don’t think the mango correlation is accurate, but it is possible to have a rare allergic reaction to just about anything. I looked through hundreds of Bluebird reviews and this was the only review that mentioned allergies.
A+ Rating by The Better Business Bureau (BBB)
Bluebird has an A+ rating with the BBB, which is a company the rates businesses based on business practices and reliability with customers. Finding a trustworthy CBD company is important because there are CBD companies that have been accused of identity theft and other fraudulent practices. You are safe with Bluebird.
5 Out of 5 Star Rating on Glass Door
Bluebird currently has a 5/5-star rating on Glassdoor.com, a website that lets employees rate their employers. It’s nice to know that they keep their employees happy and I think that trickles down to their quality of products and great customer service.
ConsumerLab.com Top Pick
This may be the best or most important Bluebird review out of all the internet reviews. Bluebird Botanicals was the 2018 “Top Pick” of CBD products by consumerlab.com, which is the leading provider of independent test results for health and nutrition products. Consumerlab.com could make or break a company. Bluebird had the most accurate amounts of CBD and was the only company that provided other cannabinoids (CBN, CBC, etc.). Bluebird was also one of the cheapest products they tested and it came with higher quality than any other product. Bluebird was also half the price of their closest competitor, which is Charlotte’s Web (review here).
About the Company
Bluebird Botanicals was founded in Boulder, Colorado, USA, in early 2012 by Brandon J. Beatty. Their core mission is to “make a positive impact on humanity and the world.” Normally I would call B.S. on such a corny mission statement, but they’re practicing what they preach. They use environmentally sustainable and organic farming practices. The packaging of hemp extract that they sent me was biodegradable. Bluebird gives massive discounts to disabled, low-income, and veteran customers in need of help (up to 40% off).
Beatty is the Vice President of the U.S. Hemp Roundtable, which led the political fight for the legalization of hemp—thanks for making hemp legal, by the way. In 2016, Bluebird was declared the #1 CBD Company by The Cannabist, which is a cannabis addition of the Denver Post. Bluebird is one of the few hemp companies with a good manufacturing practice (GMP) certification. They use a top-notch third-party testing facility, Eurofins Scientific, and are one of the only hemp companies to post all of their test results online. Bluebird is 1 of 13 companies with a U.S. Hemp Authority Awards Seal, which labels a CBD company with a high standard of quality, safety, and consistency. Everything I just wrote about Bluebird Botanicals is not the norm for an industry filled with deceptive companies. Bluebird makes quality CBD products. They are trustworthy and transparent.
Bluebird Botanicals Price – Is it worth it?
Of course. The consumerlab.com review found that there were companies that cost 5 times more than Bluebird but don’t come with other cannabinoids. Bluebird is a great deal and you know exactly what you are getting. It gets even better when you buy in bulk.
Here’s the cost break down for the Hemp Classic 6x:
- The 1/3 oz. (10 mL) bottle is $44.95 and according to our third-party test comes with 522 mg of CBD at a cost of $0.086 per mg of CBD or about $0.09 per mg of CBD.
- The 1 oz. (30 mL) bottle is 109.95 and we estimate that it will come with 1566 mg of CBD at $0.07 per mg of CBD.
- 8 oz. (240 mL) is $599.95 and we estimate it will come with 12,528 mg of CBD at $0.0478 per mg of CBD or just under $0.05 per mg of CBD.
Obviously the more you spend, the cheaper it gets. At the $40 dollar range, you are getting CBD at about 9 cents per milligram and it goes down to under 5 cents per mg as you buy more. However, 9 cents per mg isn’t bad when you’re buying low amounts. In comparison, Charlotte’s Web has a $39.99 bottle of hemp extract (full strength) that they claim comes with 199.5 mg of CBD or $0.20 per mg of CBD. Bluebird is less than half the price at the $40 range and the savings go up from there.
If you are a veteran, Bluebird will give you up to 25% off. Low-income or disabled folks get up to 40% off the Bluebird list price if found eligible. This alone makes the price worth it. When you pay for Bluebird, you’re helping out our veterans and people in need.
Is Bluebird Botanicals a good choice for migraine sufferers? Yes. Bluebird Botanicals is my top choice for CBD products. Bluebird comes with a wide range of cannabinoids and terpenes that add to the entourage effect, which you read about here or in my new book Hemp for Migraine. For example, Bluebird contains large amounts of CBC, which may help with neurological conditions and is being researched for treating epilepsy (epilepsy medications are also used to treat migraines). I recommend taking it sublingually, which you can read about here. For more about dosing, read this article.
Bluebird is also my top choice for migraine sufferers because they give massive discounts to low income and disabled customers. Migraines are the top neurological disability and can wreak havoc on your lifestyle and income. We should support a company that supports migraine sufferers.
The biggest reasons to purchase Bluebird as a migraine sufferer are that they are a reliable CBD company that is transparent and offers high-quality products at a good price.
Other Products by Bluebird Botanicals
Bluebird Botanicals offers several different types of hemp extract: Classic, Complete, and Signature at 1x or 6x strength. I reviewed the “Classic 6x” above. The “Complete 6x” may also be a good option because it comes with significant levels of terpenes and other cannabinoids. They also offer hemp capsules, CBD isolate, CBD vape oil, CBD pet products, hemp extract in bulk, and a new line of THC-free hemp extract.
